I have read on other posts or in training books, that repeating your chosen phrase to pee/poop when going out and finding a spot and also during the process itself.
Those little minds are so easily distracted...just a neighbor opening a door changes Johnny's plans. If the leaves are blowing, another distraction. Now, with the snow on the ground, another distraction has taken precedence over pee/poop so there have been several accidents lately.
I haven't been putting his coat on with the hopes that he will want to get back inside quickly but he just wants to run around, eat the snow, and forget about pee/poop.
