Well, this morning is our trash pick up day.
We have a nice, big wooden trash box w/ lid that my DH built.
I got a call after I seen the trash truck pass by....it was the lady from their office saying that the driver broke our handle trying to get the lid open, apparently it was frozen shut!
So, they didn't pick up the trash and they broke our handle...now, we have to replace the whole lid because it looks like the guy tried to beat it open with something!!!
I am NOT happy...I mean, things happen, but if it doesn't open the first time you try.....don't destroy it!!! (aurgh)
My DH thought that was strange anyway, because in the 6 years we have had that box, we stain it every other year so it doesn't get faded....it has never frozen shut??!!!
Oh well.......that is my "rant" for the day!
