Sometimes investing a little more in something is a lot better in the long run, my opinion is that it will pay for itself, the comparison in cost of this machine verses the other is how much? Not that much when you think of what you will save in sewing.

I am not going to say a computerized is better, the reason I bought this one at Sears is because it was a great price for the machine and all that it offers. I compared the pro's and con's and went with this one. Is Sears still offering the additional 10% off through today on the sewing machines? I thought that it ends tonight.

Of course machine embroidery can be done easily on any machine, where the person is in full control all one needs to do in setting up the machine without the presser feet in use and embroidery hoop fabric face down, set your sewing machine at the shortest stitch length and then use the zig zag at preference of width in doing the different things one wants to do. I have used this method many many times.
