I came into this thread a bit late but I just wanted you to know i'm glad everything is fine.
I did a similar thing once and was right in a panic, my husband came in and applied pressure to stop the bleeding and slapped on some tripple antibiotic cream. He said "what the heck, it works for the kids"....lol...and it did.
