I am by no means an expert, I'm a new momma too but my reagan is on the can puppy food from pro plan in chicken & rice that you can get from petsmart- I also put a few kibbles of the pro plan (puppy) dry food in there in another bowl just to see if she's ready for it & so far she's sticking w/the wet food & occasionaly touches the dry but she really does like the wet food I also change it out three times a day.
