The best way I know to learn about different lines is to talk to the breeders of those lines. I watch and see what is on the show floor, which breeder has the most consistant appearance in their lines, which lines are closely bred and if not who are they outcrossing with. It takes along time to start to get a handle on it. I've spoken with breeders as far away as Canada who had the dog that was 5 generations back in my Connor's pedigree. Make a good friend of your breeder, they will be an excellent resource when studying your dog's line.
