I have a 2000 jetta. I had a check whatever light on in my car for the LONGEST time. Every time i'd bring it to them they'd "fix" it and it would be good for a few days or a few months. The light just kept on coming on even tho nothing seemed wrong with the car. So finally, after going there too many time to count i had my dad go there with me. He said if we take this car home and tomorrow that light comes back on i'm coming right back here and driving it up your @$$! Problem fixed! LOL i swear i think they just took the bulb out from behind that light tho.
I don't take the car to VW anymore. I have a friend of my dad's service the car for me when i need it. I love my car and have no big problems with it other then that stupid light.
