AH! Well that sucks! I have given up the daily commute to downtown Los Angeles, so I drive to the MetroLink station here (a double-decker commuter train, more like an Amtrak) and take that to Union Station. Then, I ride the MetroRail (like NY's subway or DC's metro) from Union Station to near my building and hike it in from there
. I'm with ya on the "crowded trains and buses are not my thing" comment! Unfortunately, it is less frustrating than LA traffic though because I can sleep
!!!
