He's 4lbs and only gets 1oz a day and he's a puppy??? that is not enough food. Mine is 4 1/2 lbs and gets 2-3oz a day and she's a year and a half. Puppies need more food then adults. If you go to the NV website there is a chart there you can fill in and it will tell you their recommended amount to feed.
