I do know with the high winds in California....all of a sudden there have been outbreaks of Parvo.....but, one must be up on why....find out what is behind it. How the dogs that obtained it were handled, where had they been, were the owners cautious...removing shoes, clothing, etc before handling the pups....did they have their full set of innoculations (I know that this isn't a guarantee that they won't get the dreaded parvo, corona, etc).....We as owners can bring it in from the outside....my pups don't leave my bedroom until their first innoculation.....then the socializing begins in the kitchen with mother and then other females....and those girls are cared for as the dam.....I know we can't put them in a bubble....all we can do is take precautions.
I know that when leaving a dog show, I wipe down all my equipment with anti bacterial wipes....husband scrubs them down when I get home....I don't enter the dog area until I've taken a shower.....Yeah! I'm a bit anal.
