I know the breeder let me have her younger, as she knew I was experienced with little dogs/hypoglycemia, etc. I have had a biewer breeder tell me she would let me get one of her pups at 6 weeks also, as she knows me, and knows I'm home all the time, etc..Just my own personal preference, I like to get them early and start socializing them myself, and getting them used to the pee pads, etc.
I have always had good luck with getting them younger..
