I think alot to do with the socialization has to do with whos getting the dog(if there are other dogs there), of course, I got my shih tzu at 6 weeks of age, and she was here by herself, never had any socialization problems with her, heck, I have never had any with any of the dogs I've gotten actually...Haley, the older yorkie I got at 6 weeks, has been one of the best dogs I've ever had, she never chewed on me or anything else. Now, the one I got that just turned 17 weeks, I got her at 11 weeks, and although, she doesn't chew on furniture, etc. she bites the chit out of my hands..I think sometimes, staying with their litter mates longer, they learn to play rougher and can sometimes be harder to break of bad habits(imo) |
