I was young and foolish when I adopted Laney, BUT the day I adopted her I made the commitment to HER that I was going to care for her for her wholelife, not just until things got hard. And trust me, they have gotten hard more than once. At one point I had to find a new apt in under a weeks notice. The only apt I was able to find that allowed dogs was more than I could really afford, so I survived that summer on ramen, easy mac, and water so I could keep her (and she was eating premium food). When she got parvo - that was another few months I had to survive on very, very little in order to be able to keep her.
I want kids, and if they end up with allergies, then I'll just let them live with grandma (only joking of course). But in all seriousness if they do, I will have the house set up in a way that baby and dogs have very little to no contact, it will be cleaned as often as needed to keep dog dander down, even if I have to build a second house for my dogs then thats what I'll do. | I agree 100%!!! |
