I think you best take EVERY precaution thats possible to take
being so young i think its very wise to not do anything permanent to stop kiddy production... just in case
and i'm glad that you said that other people or friends would 'go' before your furbaby, thats how i feel and ive always been a little bit uncomfortable with it feeling that maybe that makes me a bad person to put 'a dog' before a person, but he's not just a dog he's part of our family and has as much right to stay part of it as the rest of us.
