This is my first post too. I've been lurking. I also have an almost 5 month old Yorkie CoCo. I purchased 2 of the reusable diapers called "Pooch Pants" from a local pet store. They are very absorbent and washable. They did cost $20 a piece. They also sell the kind you put pads in for around $16.
I am using them when I can't watch her every move. I kept my now 12 month old Pom in an x pen during training and never used a diaper, but Coco would cry all day watching the Pom out roaming the house. We go outside to potty on the hour. Fortunately for me CoCo doesn't mess with the Pooch Pants at all. They are kinda ugly though. I wish they came in pink. I bought some ruffly baby tights, and am going to cut them to fit over the diaper lol! Good luck
