out of desperation to find a kibble that my picky picky picky tookie would eat, i decided to try Royal Canin yorkshire 28 because of customer reviews. I tried Canidae, Solid Gold, and Natural Balance kibbles but was tired of wasting money on bags of food that tookie would eat for a couple days and then starve himself. Although I was aware of the bad ratings the food got on
www.dogfoodanalysis.com due to its ingredient list (corn, chicken meal, chicken fat, etc) i just wanted tookie to eat hard kibble for the sake of his teeth. He LOVES natural balance food rolls and gobbles it all up, but I still wanted to find a hard kibble for him.
With no hope, i bought my first bag and low and behold... tookie eats it! And after 2 weeks, he still eats it progressively throughout the day. Now, I did notice an major increase in his daily itching. Yet, he still eats it!? Is he having an allergic reaction to the food or do you think he'll eventually overcome the itchiness? Also, I've noticed when I mix the Natural Balance food rolls in his kibble, he picks out all the Natural Balance and eats it and leaves the kibble. However, when give him just kibble, he eats the kibble towards the end of then night because he gets hungry. Should I wean out the Natural Balance all together? I just don't want him getting picky with the kibble I finally found for him.
