It does take a little work to get them used to it and some just never like them. The bangs are cute and you still have the option of putting in a little ponytail right behind the bangs if you want to break out the bows every now and then. Sugar is the only one of my 3 with a topknot and he's a boy.
I used to keep Gracie in one but all of a sudden at around 3 yrs. old, she realized she could get the bows out and chew on them so... chop chop.
