I'd be more concerned about letting him have free roam unsupervised at such a young age. Surely you have things plugged in, if left unsupervised natural chewing (esp. if bored) could result in the loss of your baby. You'd be surprised at what they will chew if left on their own (even the wall and woodwork LOL!) Material from furniture or curtains can lodge in their tummy and result in surgery...I know I'm a worrier but you'd really be surprised by what they can get into. Go for the crate training it helps him learn control and also protects him while your gone. Welcome aboard!
