It's up to you like everyone else said. I went through the same thing when Lucy was going for her first hair cut. Oh I worried myself sick,but it does grow back. Thank God!! I cried when they brought her out looking like a boy. I just love the girls with long hair. My opinion that is. I buy the tiny rubber bands at Claire's for infants and I put those in her hair and then put her barrettes on top of that and they don't come out. I have to take them out myself. I love those little things they're the only ones I have found to stay in.
