I suppose it's going to be totally up to you and how you feel about it. My Zada had really long hair and I cut it down, top too, as you can see in my avatar. (she's the very blond one) I totally regretted doing that and have let it grow back. Could you maybe train her to like having her hair put up? Like with tiny bits of treat with each tiny step by step? I do know the longer the bangs are, the more difficult it is for them to get it down.
