I started getting migraines when I was 9. For years, I didn't know what they were. I'd feel awful enough that I wanted to die, just go home and bury my head underneath the covers and sleep it off. Sometimes they lasted for days. I was finally diagnosed with them when I was 19. After being taken to the ER and getting a shot of Demerol, my doctor prescribed me Imatrex. 50MG and it'd knock them out a half hour after I took one. If it didn't (I never had this happen), I could take another. And I tell you, it was a godsend!
A few years back, I started seeing a new chiropractor. About 6 months after I started seeing him, my migraines disappeared. I occasionally get a tinge of one every once in awhile but nothing like I did.
So I recommend a chiropractor and if he can't work the magic, try Imatrex or another one of the meds out there. I don't know why anyone would sit back and suffer when there's stuff out there to help. I wish I'd known sooner. |
