Anyone can register ACR, since they do not hold shows I don't find the registration to hold any validity other than the fact that you can say your dog is registered....It doesn't buy you anything except fooling the unsuspecting public.
Creating a new breed is a bit more difficult and requires so much more than just registration. Historical data must be tracked and documented.
We all know that the Hundred and sixty plus dog breeds that are now AKC registered started somewhere....but, most started long ago when requirements were less stringent than they are now. AKC has trangressed to a registery with many rules, laws, etc.....so, things are tougher.
Will these breeder's that are attempting to establish a new breed by registering off colored yorkies be able to do it.....I can't say.
