I also went to a pet shop this weekend in Newport Beach at Fashion Island. I left there feeling so s**tty. I went in just to look and they had these tiny yorkie puppies in the window. I asked to hold one and the girl starts trying to sell it to me. It was like 2 pounds and almost 5 months old, but it looked sickly. I felt so sad for it. She starts telling me all of this stuff about how it is a "teacup" and won't get any bigger. I sat there biting my tounge because I wanted to tell her to get a new job where she is not required to lie to people to sell overpriced sick puppies. These pups were 2000.00. I honestly felt like crap after going in there and hearing what she was saying to sell puppies. The sad thing is that she probably believes what she is telling people. It is probably what her boss told her. Made me very sad. Also the PetSmarts in my city just do pet adoptions. Was it called something else? |
