Wow Layla's a light weight!
We actually don't do Benadryl at all. I gave it to Spike once for a long car trip because he hates riding in the car. It had the OPPOSITE effect!
He almost had a total meltdown. I talked to my vet afterwards and he said it is not uncommon for Benadryl to do that. It makes some dogs crazy hyper and anxious. My mom has always used it with no problem but after a 9 hour car ride from hell, we know it's not for us.
