One thing I have learned breeding yorkies is that grooming is a task in its OWN RIGHT...lol

I get this question a lot....In emails and in person....lol
I have several females that have the cotton texture and they have thrown cotton and silky pups... Brushing will NOT change the texture of their hair it will just keep it manage able. I have found no matter how much you brush them its NOT going to change.. Most that I have come across have silky hair on their face and cotton from neck down and down the back.. Most that I have seen have a under coat. (so to say) Brushing keep it softer.

I have used a shampoo for years called
Optimum Care.. Stay Strong Shampoo

It leaves the coat healthy and looking and feeling great and keeps body in the coat. has a great smell and the coat has a shine that is to die for. I use this on ALL my babies..It also detangels. As far as conditioner.. I have not ever had to use one since I have used this shampoo
