When I adopted my 2 they were 1 1/2 and Roxie used to do this anytime she was excited. I started saying no-no to her and picking her up & taking her outside. She stopped doing it. Her previous owners just allowed her to do it. She is almost 6, she probably hasn't had that type of accident in 2-3 yrs. So while I would like to think I helped her correct the behavior -- but maybe she just outgrew it
