I agree. I have never liked the word because of all the bad connotations that go with it concerning women. I never use it. There are plenty of other words to use! A few years ago I saw something in our local newspaper about an organization promoting softball for little girls and they called it "Biddyball." I told my son and daughter-in-law that I would never ever stand for my granddaughter to belong to any such organization. There are just too many bad connotations to "biddy" also. Apparently, I wasn't the only one who objected to the use of the word and the name disappeared. My female dog is my little girl and my male dog is my little boy and their parents are their parents. Very simple!
