I really appreciate all of your suggestions. We went to Walmart and got some newborn diapers and I have one of those on her right now until I can come up with plan B. For now, this solution seems to be ok.
Thanks everyone for all your help and suggestions. I'm calling the vet in the morning and asking for an earlier spay appointment.
