Its fixable and I'd imagine they would wait to attempt to fix his until puberty age...his jaw is growing still...
Heather had a pretty bad one on one side...she wore the Dreaded Headgear at night they make them sleep in....
She has a beautiful smile...but then...it cost a fortune! LOL
There are all kind of bite problems...your sons jaws are growing at different rates..over bites, underbites, and crossbites..all fixable..
Your appt. for the ortho is fine...there isn't anything immediate they can do right now I suspect...they may do a pre-treatment...If his top jaw is narrow...and then fully brace him around 13.
