Be aware that some air freshners can cause itching in a dog that has allergy problems. The dogs are a lot closer to plug-in air freshners than people and if the dog tends to be allergic, one of these freshners can set off a reaction. I prefer candles to air freshners. One of my Bichons is prone to itchies and hot spots and I wouldn't dare have any kind of air freshner in my house!
