I agree with what you're saying - and good for you for doing your homework. I'm sure there are countless times when it all works out...as you said, people do it all the time. It's just not something I'd be comfortable doing.
At any rate, I wish you the best of luck in finding whatever dog/puppy pulls your heartstrings.......when you're ready to make that jump.
I'd love to hear more of your search, research, and success,.... and of course would love to see photos of your new baby when he/she arrives.
