This is so depressing in more ways than one for us.
My husband specifically went to a dealer to avoid having any problems! You can't trust anyone these days |
Oh, no, no, no, I'm not an attorney. These types of cases are truly upsetting so they catch my attention. I truly did not intend to give that impression. Please forgive me.
Locally, good law Q&A are posted in the paper as well as a couple of lawyers that visit the local TV news stations. Sadly, this type of case comes up far too often and, as I understand it, it is a problem nationally.
One case that got a lot of local attention - A large store specializing in baby merchandise continued to take large money orders right up until their bankruptcy. At that time, they had over $300,000 in outstanding orders. Because they filed bankruptcy, all those people were cheated. Can you imagine the heartbreak and devastation this caused these poor people in this situation, some of which I'm sure, were going to be parents for the first time and could be out $1000's?!
Again, I'm very sorry for your loss. I will be watching this thread in hopes of seeing your situation resolved in your favor.
