We had this discussion on another forum a couple of years ago and we have a vet who is a member answer the question.

You are exactly right, Heartguard can't be cut. As a rule, only pills that are scored in half have the medication evenly distributed and can be cut. That applies to human medicine, too.

Lady gets Interceptor. She has seizures and it is the safest one for her. Heartguard supposedly has been known to lower the seizure threshold.
