When I first brought Gizmo into our lives this past May, many in my family became convinced that I had lost my mind. I am so crazy about this little guy, that I admit that I go a little (or a lot) overboard at times. My family often teases me about being "that crazy dog lady". My co-workers put up with it all with a sort of amused tolerance as well.
My oldest son came over to visit the other day and had this to say about it all..
"Mom, I love you, and I support whatever or whomever brings joy to your life."
Isn't that great? That's exactly what my yorkie does. He brings joy to my life. And in this crazy world we live in, here's to embracing every bit of joy we can find for ourselves and our families.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. |
