Pat was my mentor and she taught me how to dock. I do not like to go past day 3 unless the babies are tiny. They need to be over 2-3 ounces as far as I am concerned. I have no bleeding except occasionally on a dewclaw. I always have the stypticowder poured into the lid just in case. I also have clopay handy in weensy strips. I put tea tree oil near the sites to keep mom from licking a lot.
I highly recommend having a mentor..but you can't have mine..LOL |
