I never thought I could cry so much - he wasn't "just a dog" he was a loving companion, friend and did everything with me and my husband - my husband, who did not want another dog after all our children left home, is completely broken and devastated - he had prostrate cancer 2 years ago, and Max would not leave his side after his surgery. He truly lived up to his name - Maximus after the Gladiator! His memory gives me comfort. Thank you all for helping me through my grief.
