I bought a 4 month old male yorkie last week from a breeder. So far he has been a great puppy, except for the fact that he has been a pain in the butt to potty train. He will only go number two INSIDE on the carpet. I can take him outside and he will pee, but he will come right back in and start pooping 5 minutes later. He pees in the floor, as well but he will also pee outside. I don't understand why he won't poop outside. I asked my vet about this and they said to use puppy pads, so I bought some the other day and he has only peed on them twice. I have also been using the method where you clean up the accident and take it outside and praise them, but it doesn't seem to be working. I am getting rather frustrated, as I hate to keep him confined to a crate, but I also cannot afford to have the carpet in my apartment ruined, because I have not paid the pet fee since it is $600. Any suggestions would be helpful!
