Lacy has luxating patellas. I'm hoping she'll never need surgery. Right now they don't seem to be bothering her. The right one pops out pretty much everytime she bends her knee..the left one isn't as bad. It's important to keep them at a healthy weight - the more weight on those knees, the higher risk of problems. Luxating patella is genetic in most cases and shouldn't be passed on. It can be a VERY expensive problem to fix surgically
