The fact that he had an erection is pretty normal, but it's not normal for his penis not to return to the sheath for "hours".
Did your vet give you any ideas as to why this would happen and how to prevent it from happening again?
One suggestion I would make is that you keep the hair clipped short in front of his penis and in his entire groin area. This not only helps keep him clean and tidy, but helps prevent his penis from becoming entangled in his hair. |
