In addition to Zoe, we have a collie who is 10 1/2 years old now and she's been starting to have trouble getting around. The vet says she's got arthritis in her hind hips and it seems to be getting worse. She has fallen down the stairs twice this week and this morning I'm worried about her. When she falls, she doesn't go end over end, she just kinda slides down on her butt and she seems fine but I don't know what to do. I hate to make her sleep downstairs by herself but I'm getting worried that she's going to really get hurt one of these days. My husband and I are really getting worried. Losing her would be so hard on the kids. and us too. She's just getting old and I feel so bad for her. I'm getting myself all worked up her as if she's already gone. I must have hormone issues or something.

Aww, poor baby. 10 1/2 isn't that old! Can the vet prescribe anything to ease the pain?
