Great to hear he is feeling a little better, I'm SO happy to hear it!

Have you tried having him lay on a heating pad? I wonder if that would be soothing. I'd also recommend having many things for him to chew on - bc when dogs are hurting, it can help them distract themselves if they can chew. Little massages would help ease some of his body's tensions too - bc he'll be physically compensating in all kinds of ways (holding his body differently), and this causes alot of tension/soreness in the REST of the body.
