Me & my sons spend a lot of time socializing with Duchess, I'll get down on the floor so I can be eye to eye, talk to her, play with her. I've put a couple of stuffed animals & a little chew toy in with her also. My question is what else, if anything, can I do to assist with her socialization since she has no siblings. I also have a 7 mth old, Foxxy, who has also welcomed her with open arms & plays with her. Any other advice/suggestions for those of us who only had 1 pup in a litter?
Also, I've trimmed her nails once but that seems to not be enough...my poor Diva has little red lines on her belly...I just don't want to cut her nails too short and it's hard to tell where to stop since the nails are so thin & fragile but still seem to be so sharp. Any suggestions on that?
Thanks for your help...I've attached her 3 week old pic. She's 1lbs 9oz | |
