More specifically, I'm wondering about crate training in the post-crate days.

Jesse is currently doing really well with crate training. We're working our way up leaving him alone for longer and longer periods of time. No longer than half an hour right now. I want to make sure he adjust slowly. He sleeps in his crate. He loves his crate and rarely complains.

What I'm wondering is this. Once I allow him free roam of the house, will he still remain crate trained? Like, if I stop crating him at night and when I go out, will he still take to his crate if I stop using it on a regular basis?
