I agree. I had to switch from Frontline to K9 Advantix this year because I had a terrible flea problem for the first time in a long time.
Dawn dish soap works great to kill adult fleas. Dilute it with water 50/50, then pour it on a
dry dog, lather, let it sit for awhile and rinse. Bombs will also kill adult fleas.
If you keep seeing them, there are eggs hatching in your carpet. The only thing that works for me is Adams Carpet Powder (not the spray). I've tried other brands, but Adams is the only one that works. Sprinkle it on your carpet (one canister covers about 400 square feet) then work it in with a broom. Let it sit for 24 hours, then vacuum.
I battled fleas all summer with topicals, bombs and Dawn, but the carpet powder finally got rid of them within 10 days.
