Is it okay to give real chicken strips as snacks? I never knew feeding a dog could be so complicated. It makes me wonder how any of my other dogs survived without me worrying about every little thing. Anyways, I know how people on this site are so down on any well known products. It seems like every snack food or chew treat is criticized for one reason or another, whether it is nutrition or choking threat. I am just searching for a treat that will be healthy but that my dogs will like. I know everyone on here talks about those bully sticks, but I tried them a couple of times and my dogs had no interest. I have been buying some dehydrated pure chicken breast treats lately which my dogs love. It seems like they should be okay as they are nothing but chicken breast, but for 3 dogs they get expensive. So lately, Ive jsut been baking chicken tenderlions, nothing on them, and giving them as treats. It seems like they are healthier and actually are cheaper than the treats. Also are there any chew treats that are acceptable? I still give greenies as my dogs love them and my vet says they safe, but I worry each time I give them? I would love to find something they can have to chew on as well as a snack for treats? Any suggestions?
