Sorry they seemed to have forced him on you so early. It seems as though she was stressed herself. I too use the military vet, but maybe see if you can get an initial appointment at a local vet to ensure that the pup is ok? I know that the on base vets are more than reasonably priced, but it may be in the families best interest for the long run to make an initial appt in town within the next day or two, just to make sure that the baby is fine.
