I could go and see him but when I left him Friday, I was left with the impression that they don't really encourage visitors. The vet said, "We don't tell you that you CAN'T come visit them, but it's really best if you don't. We like to keep them calm when they're in their cage."

Yorkiesmiles, I didn't ask specificly to speak with the vet. I was kind of thinking since the lady on the phone wasn't able to answer many of my questions without putting me on hold and going to ask him that she would offer to let me speak with him. I would of been more than happy to wait for him to call me back.

I know he's not purposely holding Max to make the extra money. They just aren't being real informative and it makes you feel like you're being taken advantage of. It also makes you angry because you just want to KNOW what's going on with your baby.
I've been there too sweetie. Only I had to go between an emergency vet at night and a day vet in the morning. I got to hold my little Adie in between and see her progress with my own eyes. Go on in and visit him if you want to. He's your dog and you are paying his vet bill. I'm sure they are keeping him so he doesn't relapse but you need to put your own mind at ease. God bless.
