I used to have a male red toy poodle. I got approached by someone to use him as a stud when he was about 4 years old. Red toy poodles are not all that common - at least not in our area - so they had been searching for a stud. Oh, if I had known what it would turn him into! I had problems with him marking from then on, let me tell you! I don't think it really changed his personality though. He was our only dog and didn't see many other dogs very often so I didn't notice any of the other stuff but looking back on it, he did start the marking after that.
I know it would be nice to be able to make money off of your precious little boy but listen to the advice that these knowledgeable people are giving you. It sounds like they know what they're talking about! I also thought about breeding Tatum (our Yorkie) at least once just to go through the experience but the things I have learned on the Yorkie forums have changed my mind. Tatum will be a year old on Valentine's Day and only weighs about 3.5 pounds. That's a great weight for studs apparently but not so safe for the mommies (sorry! can't bring myself to say the "b word"! LOL). Once I heard how dangerous it is for those little girls to carry and give birth, I changed my mind and she was spayed at about 7 months. I know that I do not know enough about this breed and breeding them to do the best job and protect my baby.
Good luck with whatever you decide. Be sure to do your research! Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in!
