Default Stud dog

It takes a bit of time for a males testies to drop I would suspect anytime after a year they are roaring to go...My male and female got together her first heat even tho I put pants one her and a band on him they were determined (thank god it didnt take) the male would have been 1.1 years old and the female would have been only 8 months old...

Odd story yesterday I called an ad in the paper (Portland Oregon)re: yorkie stud $300 2.5 lbs

so I called she said he a very small and excellent quality and if I would like I could call the breeder she got him from. His name is Jeffery and reported to be from the "Crown Royal" line which from what she had read has champions from Europe, Canada and also US but are back many generations and he is the last one of that "lineage."

Next I called the breeder I asked one simple question was the male DNA tested, she went off on me so loud and rude. "Where did I come up with that question?" "That is stupid for me to even ask" "Crown Royal is an established champion name so I don't need to provide his genetics"

I said "wow you sure are defensive" "I know as a responsible breeder if you are going to stud or do multiple littlers on a male you should DNA test"

Finally she said "I will not prove my breeding by DNA testing and why would I need to anyway"

I finally said "since your male is so tiny one might be more at ease knowing he has no gene defects" lol then she hung up on me.

thought I would share for what its worth.
