he had a bout with diarreha , then one night he was just lying around shaking , panting heavily, he seriously looked like he was dying. took him to emergency vet they thought it was gastritis, took xrays, blood work, stool sample, every thing came back no gastritis, no parasites, he did have a lot of air in his intestines, liver looked fine,heart etc, they had him on a i.v. and i took him to the regular vet who ran more blood work ,put him n science diet I/D for the diarreaha(which he didn't have again since i had him home, then about a week and a half later his belly swells up like a balloon(but he is acting fine) thus after more blood work etc they tell me his protien is down to 0.4 and they are amazed he is walking around, so plasma transfusion , steroids, antibiotic, home cooked diet and a week later it is up to 0.8 so hopefully he will be ok when we weanh im off the steroids. whew that took a long time |
